1st ride on the Kool-Aid!!!

two new 29ers
Wednesday was a perfect day to take the new bike out for a ride with my good buddy Joe, he also got a new bike and it is a sweet one a single speed Haro Mary and man it was a beautiful day temp was around 50 degrees and sunny.  So the route was to be set as we were going, and we started with a nice flowy climb up the chamberlain trail to the top of the chutes.

We then cruised down Gold Camp Rd to Stephanies Trail to Little Fruita in red rock canyon, to the Intemann Trail, where we ran into a guy on a 29er and he flashed the 29er sign but I could flash it back because somebody didn't teach it to me yet.  So needless to say he didn't want to ride with us. Up to Section 16 for a nice little hike-a-bike to the Palmer Trail.

We took a break at the top of Section 16 and had a snack because from there it is mostly downhill mostly.  Palmer Trail is probably one of my most favorite trails in the Springs area really fast and flowy and turny and just plain grin inducing fun!!!!

Then we have a nice climb up Gold Camp Rd back to the Chutes and from there it is all down hill to the car.  Overall I have no complaints about my new bike besides the saddle that is a piece of shit, but that is why I had already order a SDG bel-air.  Although it is not official until my kit comes in and I learn the secret hand shake, I am a believer and really enjoy just getting out on my bike no matter 29er, 26er hardtail or full squish, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE!
